My British patent Robbiati (pre-steam-wand) has star in basket, plain head. I believe the Robbiati came to NZ from British as it was partnered with (ie it came with) a Sassoon (also pre-wand) and both have Sassoon filler knobs. They also came with a (spare) damaged Sassoon porta filter handle. My guess is the Sassoon suffered a broken handle and the Robbiati had issues with its original Robbiati filler knob. Robbiati has short porta filter handle and large jug with small ear handle. The Sassoon jug has the Sassoon handle. I do not have access to the Sassoon but I understand Sassoon did not produce star baskets or head screens.
