A short-lived miracle
I'm told (14 June) that Bon Trading are once again advising customers they are out of stock with supplies expected "in a few months". Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I first rang Bon Trading in 1998 trying to buy an Atomic.... they told me then- that "New stock is expected in a few months..." I left my name on the waiting list. After 2 Years of Waiting- I rang them again. Same story only this time it would be 6 months till the next shipment. Left my name on the waiting list- they said "don't worry- we will call you". Waited another 2 years with no luck.
Tried agian in 2005 and 2006- same old story. And now June 2009 "in a few months"...
Yet on their website they say "Are ATOMIC® Coffee Makers still being made?
Yes! They are still being manufactured to the classic standards. They have been made consistently since 1946"
Well I call that a straight out lie.
